Tuesdays are really just Mondays dressed in their Sunday best.

We are very excited to have members of the Ivy funds management team join us for Tomorrow’s SCI call!

The IVY Midcap Income Opportunities Fund (IVOIX) is a part of our 4th quarter allocation in the mid-center space.  Keep in mind the rigorous and disciplined process that Sortino Investment Analytics and SCI undergo to select the funds eligible for the quarterly allocation.  The process is extensive and thorough, and we are consistent in our process to bring to our models those funds that have the best potential for meeting the objectives of your clients.

The IVOIX fund strategy focuses on dividend paying stocks that have the potential to enhance total return through capital appreciation and the income stream they produce.  It has a concentrated portfolio (35 holdings), with no single position making up greater than 3% of the portfolio.  Cinemark Holdings, Cracker Barrel, and VF Corp. are the three largest holdings.  The fund is managed by Nathan Brown and Kimberly Scott, both CFA charterholders with over 34 years of experience at IVY.

The IVY group is a global organization using active management to achieve the goals of clients.  For the 4th quarter the funds are overweight consumer cyclicals, technology, healthcare and industrials. The month of November saw the fund return 4.50% and a 7.08% return for the calendar 3rd quarter.

Please join me TOMORROW, Tuesday, December 11th, to discuss the relevant activity within the Salt Creek Investors portfolios and to hear commentary from the IVY portfolio management team.  Check your email for more information pertaining to Tuesday’s call. Thank you for your continued support of Salt Creek Investors.
